Event Management is the planning and implementation of events, large and small that meet the marketing goals of an organization. Event Management is an area that growing rapidly, and is expected to have a phenomenal growth rate in the next decade. Typical events organized by professional event managers include product launches, panics, sponsored events, sporting events- competitions, concerts and festivals. fundraisers, trade shows, corporate open days, seminars, tours etc.

Career Prospects

There are two main areas of employment in event management:
1)
In-house' where you are employed by and work solely for one organization. You concentrate your efforts on one organization, product or event. For example you may work for a company that sponsors many events and be responsible for working with the organizers of those events.
2)
An event management consultancy where your attention is split between a number of organizations or individuals known as 'clients'. For example, you may work for an event management consultancy that is contracted out to arrange events on behalf of a number of different types of companies different industries. Event management is a rapidly growing field, and jobs are often never advertised- Networking with others in the industry via professional associations is a good way to meet potential employers.

As in any marketing position, the earning potential of an events manager depends greatly on the level of training and experience they have.
Corporate events need to be professionally managed by someone who understands the ultimate aim of organizing such an event.

Unparallel Practical & Simulated Training

Practical training: Students at NIEM are sent on more than 500 National & International events around the year. They are trained on the biggest events happening in India to get a actual feel and experience on these events- Training on mega events such as Filmfare, Femma, Gladrags, Zee cine awards, Abbay, Grasim, Ad Asia & many more.
Simulated Training: We have developed an outstanding methodology to get the real feel of organizing and managing an event. Students are trained lo make a replica of an event and present it live in the classroom. This exercise gives an opportunity to our students to minutely walk through the entire operations of any event and identify the major.
Practical Session: practical practice sessions on making editing, shooting of video and print advertisement. Practical practice session of writing stories for famous newspapers and being judged by editorial team of reputed newspapers. Involved in actual planning of international live events of NIEM.
Intelligensia Talks: Like coffee talk by students on related topics and panel discussions on crucial topics.
